When you sign up, It Is My Year stores your email address, the programme or collection you chose, the time of your sign-up and your email choices.
Why we ask for your email
We use your sign-up to register your interest in the programme or collection you select. The seven-day reset is available on this website immediately. Automated challenge emails are not currently active.
Extra inspiration and offers are optional
If you tick the optional marketing box, you are asking to receive inspiration, future challenges and offers for our planners, diaries and merchandise by email. You can access the free reset without choosing marketing emails. A launch-list sign-up records your request to hear about that specific launch.
Where your details are kept
Sign-up records are held in the website's hosted database. Access is limited to the site operator and the infrastructure providers needed to run the website. We do not sell your email address. An email delivery service is not yet connected.
Change your mind at any time
Your successful sign-up includes a personal preferences link. Save that link to stop future emails or delete your sign-up records. Treat it as private: anyone with the link can manage the details associated with it. Unsubscribing applies to all existing sign-ups for that email address.
Your private year
Programme answers and weekly reviews are saved privately with your signed-in year profile. They are included when you export your year and removed when you delete your year.
When you use the daily planner, we store your goal, chosen start date, daily entries and completed programme or experience steps against your signed-in ChatGPT user identifier. These records are not shown publicly. You can export or delete them from My Year. The quiz does not save your answers. Calendar downloads use your chosen start date to generate a file without storing another record or connecting a calendar account. They do not include your goal or written answers.
When you open or save your signed-in year, we also keep your account email and identifier together so the site owner can locate records for a verified data request. Deleting your year removes that lookup record. It may be created again if you continue using the saved features.
Programme reminder preferences
If you save reminder preferences, we store your programme, preferred start date, local reminder time, time zone, sign-in email, user identifier and permission text. Email reminders are not active yet. Your start date must be confirmed before activation. This does not include marketing permission. Delete these preferences on the relevant programme page; they are separate from your My Year records.
Community stories
Story submissions include your chosen display name, story text, submission time and permission to publish after review. They are not published automatically. You can withdraw them on the stories page. Deleting your year also deletes these submissions. The site operator and infrastructure providers may access stored records as needed to run the service.
Coach profiles and support enquiries
Coach applications store your public profile fields, your signed-in user identifier and a private sign-in email for administration. Public fields appear only after owner approval. You can edit or delete your profile on the coach application page. Editing returns it to review.
Support interest forms store your goal, obstacle, preferred session format, budget, location, contact email, permission text and submission time against your signed-in identifier. The site owner can review these enquiries. We ask before sharing details with a coach. Marketing consent is not included. You can withdraw and delete individual requests on the support interest page. These records are separate from My Year and are not deleted by deleting your year.
We count approved profile page requests and outbound website clicks as approximate totals. These counters do not store a visitor identifier and do not represent unique people or verified leads. Coach photo uploads are stored with your profile administration details and appear publicly only when your profile is approved. Replacing a photo returns your profile to review. Uploaded photos are deleted when you withdraw your coach profile. Older profiles may use an external photo link; displaying it makes a request to that image host.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Hosting providers may process technical request information needed to serve and secure the website.
About the reset
Our challenges are general tools for reflection and personal organisation. There is no required pace, promised outcome or purchase requirement. Take the steps that fit your circumstances.
